Rep. Rob Wittman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district, has recently shared several updates on his official activities via social media. Later on the same day, Wittman welcomed Old Dominion University President Brian O. Hemphill to Capitol Hill for discussions on public health and health sciences programs at the university. As a former marine scientist with a master's degree in public health himself, Wittman expressed enjoyment from their productive meeting. "It was my pleasure to welcome @ODU President @BrianOHemphill to Capitol Hill! We had a great discussion about their impressive public health and health sciences programs."

On March 7, 2025, Rep. Wittman highlighted Stratford Hall as a historic landmark near his home area of Westmoreland County during a meeting with its president Karen Daly.
