Rob Wittman relaunches bipartisan defense caucus with Rep Pat Ryan

Representative Rob Wittman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st District since 2007, shared several updates via social media recently. Wittman, who has been an influential figure in Virginia politics since replacing Jo Ann Davis, also served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors.

On March 4, 2025, Representative Wittman announced the relaunch of the bipartisan House Defense Modernization Caucus alongside Representative Pat Ryan. He expressed his enthusiasm for witnessing the caucus's growth and emphasized his commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues from both political parties to enhance America's security. The following day, March 5, 2025, Wittman congratulated St. Margaret’s Basketball team for their state championship victory. The team finished their season with an impressive record of 22-9. Wittman noted that their success has brought pride to Tappahannock and Virginia's First District. "Congratulations to St. Margaret’s Basketball team on their state championship win! With an impressive 22-9 season, the Scotties have made Tappahannock and all of Virginia's First District incredibly proud."

Later that day, Wittman issued a cautionary message regarding a tornado warning in the Richmond region. He advised residents to adhere to guidance from relevant authorities such as VDEM and VaDOT and emphasized prioritizing safety during severe weather conditions. "Folks, please exercise caution and follow guidance from @VDEM, @VaDOT, and your local news as the Richmond region is under a tornado warning. Remember to stay #WeatherAware — your safety comes first."
