Rep. Rob Wittman shares condolences and policy initiatives in recent tweets

Rep. Rob Wittman, a U.S. Congressman representing Virginia's 1st District since 2007, shared a series of tweets on December 9 and 10, 2024, addressing various issues and personal sentiments.

On December 9, Wittman expressed his condolences following the passing of the daughter of fellow Congressman Michael Burgess. "I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of @michaelcburgess's daughter Christine." He conveyed that he and his wife Kathryn are keeping Burgess and his family in their prayers during this difficult time.

The following day, December 10, Wittman addressed concerns regarding pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). He stated, "Pharmacy benefit managers are driving up prescription drug costs, pushing community pharmacies to close, and creating barriers for Americans who deserve to pick the pharmacy of their choice." Wittman expressed pride in joining 119 House colleagues urging congressional leadership to take action on this issue.

Later on December 10, Wittman informed constituents about mobile office hours hosted by his office across Virginia’s First District. "Did you know my office hosts mobile office hours several times a month across Virginia’s First District?" He announced plans to expand these services to Richmond County in the coming year.
