Rep. Rob Wittman reflects on history and engages with community

Rep. Rob Wittman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia's 1st district, shared several messages on social media reflecting on historical events and upcoming engagements. Wittman, who has served in Congress since 2007 after succeeding Jo Ann Davis, used the platform to communicate with his constituents and participate in national discussions.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Wittman commemorated the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by remembering those who lost their lives. He stated, "Eighty-three years ago, over 2,400 U.S. service members and civilians were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor. May we never forget those who lost their lives on that solemn day."

Later that same day, he announced his participation in a discussion about military space capabilities at the Reagan Institute National Defense Forum. In his tweet, he wrote: "I’m about to join @MorganLBrennan from @CNBC for a discussion about our military’s space capabilities as part of the 2024 @ReaganInstitute National Defense Forum."

On December 9, 2024, Wittman informed his followers about an initiative aimed at assisting constituents with federal agency issues through mobile office hours in Lancaster. He tweeted: "Need assistance with a federal agency but are too far from one of my offices? Join a member of my staff on Tuesday in Lancaster for our mobile office hours at 10 a.m." He further encouraged those unable to attend to contact his office for personalized assistance.
