Rep. Rob Wittman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia's 1st district since 2007, shared insights on various topics through his recent tweets. Wittman, who has a background in public service dating back to his time in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors, has been vocal about community service and national defense.

On November 25, 2024, Rep. Wittman highlighted the accomplishments of Smith Point Sea Rescue, an all-volunteer sea rescue squad that has served the Chesapeake Bay for fifty years. He expressed his honor at presenting them with the National Service Award for their dedication to the region. "Founded in 1973, Smith Point Sea Rescue has served the Chesapeake Bay, including the waters of Virginia, as an all-volunteer sea rescue squad for the past 50 years."

On November 26, 2024, he emphasized the importance of supporting veterans during his address at the Air & Space Forces Association’s Langley Chapter Leader Veterans Luncheon. He remarked on the responsibility owed to those who have defended the nation: "Supporting our veterans is not just a priority — it’s a responsibility we owe to those who have defended our nation."

Later that day, Wittman addressed new threats and challenges faced by Congress at home and abroad. He discussed efforts towards modernizing military capabilities and securing supply chains during his participation at the PSCSpeaks Annual Vision Forecast Conference: "With new threats and challenges arising at home and abroad, Congress will be focused on modernizing our military, securing our supply chains, and accelerating innovation in our defense systems."
