During the address, members of City Council will discuss this roadmap for the next two years. The video also features remarks from William & Mary President Katherine Rowe and Colonial Williamsburg Foundation President Cliff Fleet. The inaugural Williamsburg Mace Bearer’s Award will be presented at the in-person event. Williamsburg’s equivalent to a Key to the City, this new honor aims to recognize individuals or groups whose efforts have made a lasting, positive impact on the City of Williamsburg community. The winner of this new award will be announced online and on the City website on Dec. 8, prior to the reception. This is the ninth State of the City event; the first was in 2006.A teaser for the event can be found on the City’s YouTube channel.
