Please come hear two of our Warhill students play in the band, Doomhaur in a Talent Show on Thursday, March 17th 7pm @ Lafayette HS Auditorium.
This Talent show is Free and open to the public. Sponsored by the National Honor Society – Please bring a non-perishable food item for your ticket to enter the show.
This week we celebrate World Languages week. Many of our students participated in a trivia, testing their general knowledge on World Languages. One winner was chosen from each language, and they are: Madalyn Boyd, Reece McBride, Ella Johnson, and Luciano Byrd. Please see Mrs. Gonzalez in room 1100 for your prize.
Here are some World Language fun facts:
German – Germany has 1,000 varieties of sausages
French – The French eat 25,000 tons of snails each year
Latin – Latin is responsible for influencing several modern world languages
Spanish – Arabic had an influence on modern Spanish; many Spanish words come from Arabic words.
March is Disability Awareness Month. During this month, Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) would like to increase the awareness of the various disabilities that are represented in our schools and, to promote positive attitudes by creating a culture of inclusion, mutual respect, understanding and equal opportunities for all. Below are some days to dress to impress:
March 21 Wear your brightest, coolest socks for World Down Syndrome Day
March 31st Wear blue for Autism Awareness
