Riverside Health System, Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), Truist Bank and Norfolk State University recently celebrated a successful second annual Health Equity Event.
The 2023 event focused on how nutrition can impact heart health and featured celebrity chef, Carla Hall, and other local speakers. The panel also examined obstacles that result in health disparities in Hampton Roads, especially by communities of color, and what steps could be taken to achieve health equity.
