Rep. Rob Wittman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district, has shared insights and updates through a series of tweets. Wittman, who replaced Jo Ann Davis in 2007, has been active in discussing various topics including local visits, workforce development, and government collaboration.

On March 14, 2025, Wittman expressed his enthusiasm for visiting the Mattaponi Reservation when he is back home in his district. He highlighted a meeting with Chief W. Frank Adams of the Upper Mattaponi Tribe in Washington D.C., where they discussed several matters and exchanged challenge coins. "I always love getting the chance to visit the Mattaponi Reservation when I am back home in the district."

The following day on March 15, 2025, Wittman emphasized the importance of preparing future workforces for a global economy by prioritizing workforce development along with CTE and STEM education. He referenced his column regarding his visit to Henrico Schools' Advanced Career Education Center published in The Virginian-Pilot/Daily Press. "To prepare our future workforce for a global economy, we must prioritize workforce development and continue promoting CTE and STEM."

Later that same day on March 15, Wittman reflected on his past experience as mayor of Montross to underscore the significance of federal-local government cooperation. He recounted catching up with Ashland’s Mayor Steve Trivett during Trivett's visit to Washington D.C., describing him as a dedicated public servant. "Before coming to Congress, I served as mayor of Montross..."
