W&M Athletics Set to Host the Golden Weekend, Feb. 4-5

 Join the Rush to Kaplan Arena! The William & Mary Athletics Department and Tribe basketball are excited to announce the annual Gold Rush Weekend for both the men's and women's programs.
 
The exciting weekend of Tribe hoops tips off with the men's eighth annual Gold Rush Game against UNCW on Saturday, Feb. 4th, at 2 p.m. Women's basketball hosts Monmouth for its sixth annual Golden Game on Sunday, Feb. 5th, at 1 p.m. Fans are asked to wear GOLD and help us #PakTheKap!

Be part of the action by getting your #WMGoldRush tickets today. Fans can get their tickets for both the Men's game and the Women's game on TribeAthletics.com.  
 
The first 1,000 Tribe fans at the men's game and first 200 Green and Gold fans at the women's contest will receive a FREE GOLD t-shirt courtesy of Wren Traditions. FREE GOLD pom-pom will also be available for Tribe fans courtesy of the Virginia Lottery. Both programs will also host alumni weekends as part of the excitement.
 
Registration is now open for the 2023 edition of the Diaper Derby presented by Virginia529, to be contested at halftime of the Gold Rush game on Feb. 4 at 2:00 PM. Fans are encouraged to signup children ages 6-12 months for the chance to be selected to compete. Each participant will receive four tickets to the game. The first baby to crawl across the finish line will win a contribution of $529 to a Virginia529 account. William & Mary Athletics staff will reach out to selected participants no later than February 1.

The Tribe's Gold Rush match-up with UNCW will be broadcast in the state of Virginia on Cox YurView. Both games will be broadcast on FloHoops.
 
Tribe fans can catch both the men's and women's basketball action on FloHoops. All the men's basketball action will be broadcast over the airwaves and on the Internet via the Tribe Sports Network. Locally in Williamsburg, fans can listen in on The Tide 92.3 FM.
