Women's Cross Country Set to Race at CNU on Friday
William & Mary women's cross country makes the short trip down I64 to take part in the NCAA South Regional Preview at Christopher Newport on Friday.
The event is set for the Lee Hall Mansion course beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the women's 6k race. The men's 8k is set for 6:20 p.m. In total, 23 teams are set to take part in the regional preview.

- At the Charlotte Opener to kick off the year, the Tribe topped Georgia, who ranked No. 12 in the South Region. W&M was also just 10 points behind the host 49ers, who are ranked No. 8 in the Southeast Region.
- A pair of freshmen led the way for W&M at Charlotte. Catherine Garrison earned a top-10 performance individually, covering the 5K course in 17:59.1 to finish ninth. Fellow rookie Sofia Istnick followed in 13th at 18:34.8.
- Sophomore Arianna DeBoer rounded out the Tribe's top-15 performers at Charlotte coming in No. 14. Over the summer, DeBoer competed at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships and placed sixth in the 5,000 meters.
- Junior Kyra Holland returns to the Tribe after being a two-time All-CAA performer in cross country. Last season, she finished 14th overall.
