At Monday night’s board meeting, Tammy Edwards, Joint Base Langley-Eustis School Liaison, was recognized by the board for her dedication and service to military students and families of the York County School Division. To successfully support our students, the division works alongside school liaison officers from the Air Force, Army and Navy.
For the past three years, it has been our pleasure to collaborate with Ms. Edwards. She provided ongoing support as the division worked to find locations to teach students after the Grafton Complex fire. Her commitment to the division remained steadfast as we then faced the many adversities caused by COVID-19.
In her role as liaison with YCSD, Ms. Edwards has partnered closely with us to ensure Air Force families have all they need for a positive school experience. Ms. Edwards will be retiring at the end of the month and we wish her only the very best in all her future endeavors.
