City of Williamsburg issued the following announcement on Jan. 20
The City of Williamsburg is monitoring the inclement weather forecast for our area.
The City’s Public Works & Utilities crews have already begun preparation. On Wednesday, they began to pretreat primary roads with 2,800 gallons of brine. The City has six snowplows and spreaders available for deployment and 425 tons of salt and sand on hand.
Crews began 12-hour shifts on Thursday morning and will continue 24-hour operations until the streets are clear.
Waller Mill Park is closing at 1 p.m. today due to the weather forecast.
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather forecasts and to be prepared for changing weather conditions. Stay tuned to the City of Williamsburg website, Facebook page, or Twitter feed for closings and schedule changes due to the storm.
