From free outdoor concerts to bustling riverfront markets and electrifying holiday celebrations, Williamsburg offers a diverse range of summer events. Music enthusiasts can enjoy performances by local cover bands and Grammy-winning artists. The Sounds of Summer concert series takes place on Thursday nights at the Yorktown riverfront, while the Williamsburg Live music festival is scheduled for June 20-22, 2025, featuring acts such as The Concert: A Tribute to ABBA, The Band Perry: A Homecoming, and The Beach Boys.

For those interested in history and culture, the Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg hosts historic dance routines on Wednesdays and Fridays. Visitors can also witness reenactments during the 250th Anniversary of Lord Dunmore’s Virginia Campaign on June 7-8 at Yorktown’s Riverwalk Landing.

The Juneteenth Freedom Fest on June 14 celebrates freedom with live music, spoken word performances, and a marketplace at Freedom Park. Meanwhile, whiskey and wine lovers can attend the Williamsburg Whiskey & Wine Weekend from June 27–29.

History buffs can explore Yorktown’s role in the Revolutionary War during “1781 Yorktown Before the Siege” on September 6. The event features military drills and camp life demonstrations to commemorate this significant historical period.
