Williamsburg and the surrounding Historic Triangle will host several Christmas markets this December, offering a variety of holiday shopping and family activities.

The Williamsburg Christmas Market will take place on multiple weekends between November 28 and December 21 at 320 West Court Street, next to Bicentennial Park. The market features more than 40 chalets selling handmade gifts, seasonal foods, and crafts from local and national vendors. Visitors can enjoy live entertainment, train rides, a petting zoo, and meet Santa Claus for photos every day from noon to 4 pm. Entry is free for children and students any day, as well as for all visitors on Thursdays. Adults pay a one-time $5 weekend fee that covers unlimited visits plus access to the train rides and petting zoo. Tickets are available both at the door and online.

Another event in the area is the Christmas Market on Main in historic Yorktown, which runs December 6-7 at 301 Main Street. Nearly 100 vendors will offer holiday décor, jewelry, and other items. The event includes performances by the Fifes and Drums of York Town, an appearance by Santa Claus arriving on York County’s first fire truck, craft stations for children, classic car displays, and other family-friendly activities. Admission is free.

Yorktown’s Mistletoe Market at Riverwalk Landing will be held on Saturday, December 13 at 331 Water Street from 9 am to 3 pm. This market offers food such as chowders and baked goods alongside handcrafted wreaths, candles, soaps, local art pieces, ice carving demonstrations, a Toyland Parade march-through event for families with children participating in costume or floats themed around toys or winter holidays (details provided locally), as well as rides aboard the Riverwalk Landing Polar Express through waterfront decorations. Admission is free.

“Step into the magic of the traditional European-style Williamsburg Christmas Market,” organizers said in their announcement. “Browse more than 40 charming chalets selling handmade gifts… Sip hot cocoa by a cozy firepit… Bring the kids to meet Santa Claus.”

For those seeking additional holiday experiences beyond these markets—including light displays or other community celebrations—further information can be found through Visit Williamsburg resources online.
