William & Mary baseball will play against George Mason in its last home midweek game of the season on May 5 at Plumeri Park. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., and fans can follow along with live audio from the Tribe Sports Network or through live stats.
The matchup comes as William & Mary looks to continue a strong run late in the season. Gates for the event will open 90 minutes before first pitch, and several parking options are available near Plumeri Park. The team has announced a ‘Boots & Baseball’ country theme promotion for attendees.
Recent performances have highlighted key players and milestones for the Tribe. Jamie Laskofski hit his first career walk-off home run during a recent win over Elon, while Louie Bartletti enters this week on a 17-game on-base streak, batting .474 since early April. Matthew Kosuda was named Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week after batting .550 over several games and extending his hitting streak to fifteen games.
The pitching staff has also contributed notably, with Owen Pierce, Zach Boyd, and Tom Bourque combining for a shutout victory against N.C. A&T—the team’s first combined shutout since March. William & Mary leads its conference in triples and ranks among national leaders in stolen bases per game this season.
Under second-year head coach Rob McCoy, the team has recorded twelve comeback wins this year alone and twenty-eight total during his tenure when trailing by three or more runs. Other highlights include breaking school records for single-season stolen bases and individual achievements such as Laskofski’s grand slam against Charleston and Sam Kaczmarek’s first career home run.
Looking ahead, William & Mary aims to build on these successes as it faces George Mason Tuesday evening.
