The Jamestown Olympic and Jamestown Sprint Triathlons are scheduled for Sunday, June 8. Motorists in the area should be prepared for possible delays on Jamestown Road, Greensprings Road, and Route 5.

Several county parks and trails will experience disruptions due to the event. The triathlons will include cycling, running, and swimming activities at locations such as Jamestown Beach Event Park, Greensprings Interpretive Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail, and the Virginia Capital Trail from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Although the beachfront, off-leash dog area, and trails at Jamestown Beach will remain open during this time, visitors should be cautious of increased traffic from race participants.

Residents are advised to exercise caution by following traffic signs and watching out for pedestrians and event participants. Additional information about the event can be found at https://kineticmultisports.com/races/jamestown/.
