Riverside Health System now offering COVID-19 vaccines for infants and toddlers

On June 18, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) authorized the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 to include children 6 months to 4 years of age.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for those children 6 months to 4 years of age is a 3 dose vaccine series with the second dose administered 3 to 8 weeks after the first dose, and the third dose administered more than 8 weeks after the second dose. The Moderna vaccine for those children 6 months to 5 years of age is a 2 dose vaccine series with the second dose being administered 4 to 8 weeks after the first.

As of Friday, June 24, 2022, select Riverside Primary Care practices  will offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children 6 months to 4 years of age. You do not have to be a patient of Riverside to schedule your COVID-19 vaccine.
