Running with Scissors Event to Celebrate Growth of the Edge District

4

Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance issued the following announcement on July 13

The Greater Williamsburg Business Council will host Running with Scissors (RWS), a series of back-to-back ribbon cuttings, on Thursday, July 29th at 3 PM. The community is invited to attend the afternoon of festivities, celebrating the growth of The Edge District.

Established in 2019 as an Eatertainment district, The Edge exists at the convergence of York County, James City County, and the City of Williamsburg. RWS is hosted by the Business Council in partnership with the economic development offices of these three localities.

“Our goal is to highlight the vision of The Edge and its lasting impact on our local economy,” stated Terry Banez, CEO of the Greater Williamsburg Business Council. “In collaborating with our three localities, we encourage the entire community to come out in support of local businesses.”

Throughout the afternoon, ribbon cuttings will be hosted at Copper Fox Distillery, Second Street Bistro, The Velvet Shoestring, Shorty’s Diner, Williamsburg Floral, Column 15 Coffee, Casa Pearl, Parkway Printshop, and The Virginia Beer Company. A detailed route will be shared online.

To celebrate the occasion, The Virginia Beer Company will be releasing an exclusive beer, aptly named “Hi-Diddly-Ho, Neighborino!”

The Imperial Sour Ale has blackberry, mango, milk sugar, and vanilla flavors.

Following RWS, join Business Council members at The Virginia Beer Company for a Business After Hours.

Doors open for networking at 5 PM, and your $15 ticket includes one beer and small bites to eat. Additional pours are 20% off, and more food will be available to purchase from NOSH Modern Mobile Bistro.

Members may purchase tickets for the Business After Hours online.
