Farewell to these teachers leaving Warhill — good luck in your next venture! We’ll miss you!
Justin Throupe 2013 – 2021 He will be the Principal at Summit Christian Academy in Newport News. Good luck Mr. Throupe, we know you will be an excellent Principal.
Christopher Becke is one of Warhill’s original teachers. He opened the school in 2007. Chris is a second career teacher. He is returning to his first career in business, specifically, marketing strategy.
Ashley Jackson joined the science staff in 2018. She will be returning to teaching at the middle school level. Ashley is joining Yorktown Middle School.
Eryn Keating joined the science staff in 2019. She is relocating to Northern Virginia. She will teach Earth Science at Woodbridge HS in the Prince William County School Division
Lauren Schaefer joined the science staff in 2019. She departed in April for maternity leave and will relocate to Pennsylvania.

Kam Schaefer 2015 – 2021 moving to PA with wife and baby girl Piper
Candace Schafer-Horman 2007-2021 retirement – one of Warhill’s original teachers. She will be moving to Maryland with her husband until the house we are building in West Virginia is completed. Finding a job that is less stressful and less controversial than teaching history.
Brier Anderson 2015-2021 leaving Warhill as an English teacher and heading to Berkeley Middle school to become their Reading Specialist
Jackie Worstell 2016-2021 leaving Warhill as an English teacher and heading to Central Office where she will be a Technology integration Coach for Elementary schools.
Erin Powers 2014-2021 leaving Warhill to teach English to 7th and 8th graders at Berkeley Middle school. Her job at Warhill consisted of teacher of English, Speech, Reading, TFT, Math, Science…well wherever she was needed.
Korri Williams 2017-2021 will be continuing her teaching with Lafayette High school in the English department.
Cortney Gary 2020-21 – Will be leaving teaching and to pursue freelance curriculum writing.
Bill Stark 2017-21 He will be moving to northern Virginia this summer and will continue teaching business and coaching wrestling in Loudoun County at John Champe High School.
Raven Turner 2020-21 will be moving to Washington DC. She will be teaching in our nation’s capital.
Jennifer Howard 2019– 2021 will be moving to Powhatan with her family. She will be teaching Spanish in a shared position with Goochland Middle and High School.
Caitlin Whisenant 2019-21 going to bright beginnings to be with the little ones.
Dee Dee Jaffe 2001 – 2021 – Dee Dee will be Retiring from being a 1:1 and moving to Virginia Beach with her husband and dog, Dawn.
Lisa Ingegneri 2007-2021 – At Warhill since the school opened. Lisa will pursue new professional and personal opportunities.
