Rob Wittman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district, has recently shared a series of updates via social media. Wittman, who succeeded Jo Ann Davis in 2007, has a long-standing political career including service in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors. He continues to provide support to his constituents through various initiatives and projects.

On April 22, Wittman tweeted about resources available to constituents. “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim?” Wittman stated his district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open daily, and that his team would hold mobile office hours in Tappahannock to assist constituents directly.

Later that same day, he commemorated Earth Day with a personal reflection and commitment. “This Earth Day, I’m reminded of the countless hours I’ve spent outdoors—hunting, fishing, and simply enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Virginia.” Wittman reaffirmed his support for conservation efforts to preserve Virginia’s wetlands and aid local farmers.

On April 23, Wittman shared an update regarding infrastructure improvements. “The Norris Bridge is a vital link for communities and commerce between the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.” Wittman expressed satisfaction with the bridge replacement project, noting it is progressing eight years ahead of schedule.

Rob Wittman, who was born in Washington, D.C. in 1959 and now resides in Montross, Virginia, graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981.
