Rep. Rob Wittman, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district since 2007, recently shared updates on social media about his activities and initiatives aimed at assisting constituents. His communication highlights efforts to provide support with government services and encourages outdoor recreational activities.

On June 1, 2025, Rep. Wittman addressed constituents needing assistance with various federal services. He stated, “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Colonial Beach tomorrow to assist constituents.” This initiative aims to make federal services more accessible to residents of his district.

The following day, June 2, 2025, Rep. Wittman expressed his personal connection to the Chesapeake Bay watershed and promoted outdoor activities during National Fishing and Boating Week. He wrote, “Growing up in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, I have enjoyed countless hours fishing and boating. This National Fishing and Boating Week I encourage everyone to get outside, cast a line in your favorite fishing spot, and spend time on the water.” His message underscores the importance of engaging with nature.

Continuing his outreach efforts on June 3, 2025, Rep. Wittman reiterated his commitment to aiding constituents with government-related inquiries by announcing another round of mobile office hours. He noted that “My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day,” while also mentioning upcoming mobile office hours in Warsaw designed to facilitate constituent casework.

Rob Wittman’s longstanding service includes roles prior to Congress as part of the Virginia House of Delegates and Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors from 2006-2007. Born in Washington D.C., he graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981.
