Rep. Rob Wittman, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district since 2007, has been active on social media, sharing updates and insights into his work and personal experiences. Wittman, who succeeded Jo Ann Davis in Congress and previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates and Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors, uses these platforms to engage with constituents.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Wittman announced that his district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open daily for assistance with Social Security benefits, passport renewals, or VA claims processing. Additionally, he mentioned hosting mobile office hours in Warsaw to aid constituents with casework. “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Warsaw tomorrow to assist constituents with casework.”

Later that day, Wittman reflected on Teacher Appreciation Week by acknowledging the impact teachers have had on his life through personal connections. His mother was a teacher in Hanover County while his wife dedicated over four decades to teaching elementary school in Westmoreland County. He expressed gratitude for their role in shaping students’ lives and fostering a love for learning. “My mother was a teacher in Hanover County, and my wife spent over 40 years teaching elementary school in Westmoreland County, so I’ve seen first-hand the vital role teachers play in shaping students’ lives and inspiring a love of learning.”

On May 7, 2025, Rep. Wittman invited followers to listen to his appearance on Newsradio WRVA with Rich On The Mic. This engagement highlights his ongoing efforts to connect with constituents through various media channels. “I’m joining @RichOnTheMic on @NewsradioWRVA in a few minutes — tune in!”

Wittman’s active communication reflects his commitment to serving Virginia’s 1st District from both local offices and broader media engagements.
