Rep. Rob Wittman, a U.S. Congressman representing Virginia’s 1st district, has recently shared several updates through his social media account. His posts cover various topics ranging from local outreach efforts to national defense concerns.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Wittman announced a service initiative for constituents needing assistance with federal agencies but residing far from his offices. He stated, “Need assistance with a federal agency but are too far from one of my offices? Join a member of my staff Monday in Colonial Beach for our mobile office hours at 9 a.m. Still too far? Contact my office and we will travel to a location convenient for you.”

On February 1, 2025, Rep. Wittman expressed concern regarding the maintenance of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center under the Biden administration. He emphasized the importance of ensuring quality care for service members and noted his satisfaction with recent developments by stating, “Our service members have made great sacrifices for us on the battlefield, and the least we can do is ensure they receive quality care. It’s unacceptable that the Biden administration deferred maintenance of Walter Reed — I’m pleased that @SecDef will prioritize addressing this.”
