Rep. Rob Wittman, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district since 2007, shared updates on his recent engagements through social media posts dated June 3 and June 4, 2025. Wittman emphasized the importance of law enforcement, federal retirees, and small businesses in his tweets.

On June 3, Rep. Wittman highlighted the critical role of law enforcement officers in community safety by sharing his experience touring the new facility of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office. He noted, “Our law enforcement officers are essential to the safety, strength, and well-being of our communities.” During this visit, he had the opportunity to meet with officers serving across various specialized units.

Later that day, Wittman attended a breakfast meeting with NARFE Chapter 685 in Williamsburg to discuss issues faced by federal retirees. He expressed the importance of listening to these individuals by stating “Hearing directly from our dedicated federal retirees is essential to understanding the challenges they face and the support they deserve.” At this event, he provided an update on Capitol Hill activities.

The following day on June 4, Wittman visited Morooka North America in Glen Allen where he met with Curt Unger and his team. This visit aimed at gaining insights into small business operations. He remarked “Hearing firsthand how small businesses operate is essential in understanding the challenges they face and their vital role in a strong economy.” His engagement underscores his focus on supporting economic growth through innovative enterprises.

Rob Wittman’s extensive political career includes service in both local government roles and as a congressional representative for Virginia’s 1st District since succeeding Jo Ann Davis in 2007.
