Rep. Rob Wittman, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 1st district since 2007, shared a series of updates on March 26, 2025, through his social media account. These posts highlight his engagement with emergency preparedness discussions and interactions with constituents.

On March 26, Rep. Wittman expressed his understanding of the importance of federal and state collaboration in emergency preparedness due to his previous experience with the Virginia Department of Health. He noted that he appreciated meeting with officials from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) to discuss these matters. “Before coming to Congress, I worked for the Virginia Department of Health, so I understand how crucial it is for the federal government to work in close coordination with its state partners. I appreciated meeting with officials from the @VDEM to discuss emergency preparedness”

Later that day, Wittman invited his followers to participate in a live telephone town hall by streaming it online. “Tune in to my live telephone town hall! You can stream it here: https://t.co/kDcWIzL1Y8”
