Rep. Rob Wittman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Virginia’s 1st district since 2007, shared updates and announcements through a series of tweets on March 10 and 11, 2025. Wittman, who has been an active member of Congress following his predecessor Jo Ann Davis, utilizes social media to communicate directly with his constituents about services and significant appointments.

On March 10, Rep. Wittman addressed constituents regarding assistance with government-related processes. “Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim?” he tweeted. He informed that his district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open daily while also announcing mobile office hours in Kilmarnock scheduled for the next day to aid constituents.

The following day, on March 11, Rep. Wittman announced further outreach efforts via Twitter for residents in Tappahannock. He tweeted: “My team will be in Tappahannock tomorrow to assist constituents with casework such as checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim.” He included a link for constituents to sign up for these mobile office hours.

Later that same day, Rep. Wittman congratulated Rich Anderson on his new role within the U.S. Air Force via another tweet: “Congratulations to my good friend @RichAndersonRPV on his appointment to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force!” He highlighted Anderson’s extensive service record both in the military as a U.S. Air Force colonel and in public service within the Virginia General Assembly.
