Police and fire units responded to reports that an elderly male using a walker had been hit while crossing the street. The man was found unresponsive at the scene and transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The police crash team is investigating the incident. A Williamsburg-James City County Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney also responded as part of standard procedure when the crash team is involved.
