Six officers in the James City Police Department have been promoted following a competitive selection process, according to an announcement from the department. The promoted officers are Sergeant Josh Drury, Captain Chris O’Neil, Captain Keith Campbell, Sergeant Patrick Fitzsimmons, Lieutenant Kurt Dykstra, and Lieutenant Dave Rochard.

The department stated that these promotions “reflect not only professional excellence but also the dedication and leadership that strengthen our commitment to serving the community.”

In a message recognizing their achievements, the department said: “Each of these officers has demonstrated exceptional service, integrity, and leadership. Their continued contributions will help guide our department into the future.” The statement concluded with: “Congratulations to our newly promoted Captains, Lieutenants and Sergeants — we are proud to serve alongside you.”
